WebThat said, if this is 5e I do not believe there is a Ring of Water Breathing in any of the core books. There is a Cap of Water Breathing and a Potion of Water Breathing though. Neither of those items has that drawback. If it's another addition then I couldn't say. Now, I don't think the drawback on that ring is too bad.
